Empowerment Is Someone Understanding Your Pain

It is the time of female empowerment and yet, there is one topic that divides women, childbirth. The Invisible Divide: Unifying And Empowering Women Around The World Through Childbirth is a book to empower and unify women around the world by giving an understanding of why there is this divide and informing women why it is important to be unified on this topic for women's health and wellness, as well as, the future of their children. Many women are silent on this topic while others are judgmental and shame mothers. It is important for women to speak their truth and share their stories, but it is also important to have empathy, to listen, and to see the full picture, to know the history of childbirth, and how it differs around the world. Also, it is important for more women to have empowered childbirth experiences.

I am so delighted to write this book to empower women around the world. The sixty-five women who I interviewed candidly shared their stories to open up this conversation with mothers. With such diversity with stories from countries around the world such as Japan, India, Ireland, France, Australia, Peru, El Salvador, Canada, Costa Rica, the U.S., New Zealand, Uganda, and England, women are sure to learn how childbirth differs around the world, but most importantly, they will see that they are not alone in their experiences. Even if they have never shared their full story to another (as many of the women who I interviewed did), they will feel empowered to know that they are not alone, that women are unified in their experiences, even if they have been silent for fear of shame or misunderstanding.

As Maya Angelou said, “If one person knows she is not alone, she is empowered.”

I cannot wait to share this book and this series with you! I am a big supporter of female empowerment. When I learned about this divide among women and the shaming that was happening by women to women, I was shocked. As an empath and a healer, I had to find a way to empower, heal, and unify. As a childbirth expert, I have much to share with the world. Not many people study childbirth from conception to postpartum or how it affects mothers physically and emotionally or know how it is different around the globe. This book will be eye-opening for many. It will change the way women view childbirth. It will change the view of what they have been told.
