The Truth About Coffee

The Truth About Coffee

Coffee is a popular morning drink.

I understand. I used to love it too.

Until, I had a dream that it was killing me.

I drank a lot of coffee when I loved in NYC as a professional actress.

It was a busy lifestyle and I had a chronic illness.

I thought I needed it to “get going.” I thought it gave me energy.

But I didn’t realize it was making me sicker and ruining my adrenals.

Caffeine creates adrenaline in the body.

Adrenaline is naturally created when we are in a stressful situation. The body creates adrenaline to activate our flight or fight response when we are in danger.

But if we keep creating adrenaline in the body when there is no danger, we may not have the adrenaline we need when there is a real danger

And

Burn out is real and takes a long time to recover from.

The best way to have energy is to eat nutritious food, stop eating the junk food, the processed foods and the sugary foods, get good sleep, and exercise.

It sounds so simple. And it is.

I haven’t had a coffee since I had that nightmare in 2001 and I am more energized today than in my twenties.

Food naturally gives us what we need for energy. We need to rely on food more than a quick fix that can be harmful to us in the long run.
