It's almost time for Thanksgiving. Are you excited? Thanksgiving will not be the same this year. Many of us will not be with our complete families. Many of us have lost loved ones this year. Many of us have lost jobs or revenue. Many of us are feeling scared and uncertain about the future. Many of us have been working hard all year and need a break and have lost our vigor to keep going or to be motivated or inspired.

If that is you, you are not alone. I was feeling that way recently. I lost my vigor and I am normally a very optimistic and ambitious person. But sometimes life gets overwhelming or we don't see the fruits of all of our work; we just see the obstacles and more to do. We wonder why we work so hard. Isn't life supposed to be joyful?

That's when it's really important to pause. It's important to slow down. It's important to work on mindset. It's important to reach out for help.

Adding more to your plate is not going to make you feel inspired. Even if it is something different. If you are feeling overwhelmed, you need to do less.

Ignoring your feelings and pretending things are good when they are not and just pushing through isn't going to help either. All the emotions we suppress will bubble back up to the surface, maybe not right away, but they will.

So what are some things that helped me?

1. Writing a gratitude list every morning, and always thinking of one thing that happened during the day that I am so thankful for right before I go to bed.

2. Meditating. Clearing my mind and allowing for positive thoughts and inspiration to come through.

3. Clearing my aura. Some people may think this is a little woo-woo, but it really works. I cleared my aura by visualizing bright white light filling my body and filling my aura and filtering out into the room.

4. Praying.

5. Writing down affirmations. A powerful exercise is writing down a positive affirmation in the present tense of your desire as if you already have it. Write it down 55 times for 5 days. This will reprogram your mindset.

6. Spending time in nature. Nature is a great healer. It really helps us to be present.

7. Talking with a friend or loved one.

8. Looking for signs that things are changing and getting better. Our guides are always trying to assist us. If we ask them for signs that things are looking up or that we are going the right direction, they will show us.

9. Sending healing to myself and others. If you are not a healer, you may not know how to send healing to yourself and others, but you can always put your hands over your heart and send yourself some love or tell yourself aloud how much you love yourself. You can also visualize your loved ones happy and healthy.

10. Asking for help. It's important to ask for help in any area that you need it. It may seem silly what you need help with, but if you ask you will feel so much better. It will help to lighten your load.

Sometimes we just a need a little bit of hope and then we can get back on track.

I feel so much better now that I took those steps; I feel like myself again. I am back in the flow and feel inspired again.
